There is genuinely no spectacle that comes close to that of the Olympics. Though many people have heard of the Special Olympics and support it in name, the amount of viewership it gets pales compared to the standard Olympic games. According to Special Olympics International, for every American with an intellectual disability who is allowed to train their skills, 13 others have to “wait on the sideline.”
